We will be hearing from Dr Kortnye Smith about why she became interested in genomics, how this exciting technology is being used in clinical practice and the exciting possibilities for personalised medicine ahead.
Dr Smith is a medical oncologist working between Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre and Ballarat Cancer Care. She has a particular interest in cancer genomics and its role in personalised medicine, studying how we can use the unique characteristics of each tumour to target therapy.
