The Cancer Society of Melbourne University (CSM) presents our first seminar of 2020: CAREERS IN ONCOLOGY!
Come along to hear from 3 amazing speakers with varied careers in oncology- a medical oncologist, radiation oncologist and cancer researcher!
They will share their own personal journeys working in the cancer field, along with how they have combined this with their own interests in clinical trials, education and science communications. The session will also conclude with an interactive Q&A session.

SPEAKERS:
- Professor Mark Rosenthal is a Medical Oncologist at Peter Mac and Director of the Parkville Cancer Clinical Trials Unit. He has a special interest in prostate cancer, neuro-oncology and early phase clinical trials, and is also the Chairman of the Cooperative Trials Group for Neuro-Oncology (COGNO).
- Dr David Kok is a Radiation Oncologist working at Peter Mac, who has a special interest in skin and neurological malignancies. He is heavily involved in postgraduate medical education, serving as the Course Convenor and Academic Lead of the new Master of Cancer Sciences Program, as well as the Director of Training for radiation oncology trainees at Peter Mac.
- Dr Clare Fedele is a Senior Postdoctoral Researcher with 15 years’ experience as a cancer scientist at Peter Mac, who now works in science communications as the Research Communications Coordinator at Peter Mac. Her work focuses on translating science and research into compelling stories for different audiences, and regularly appeared on ABC Melbourne breakfast radio discussing the latest advances in biomedical research.
